Ideal for applications such as variable speed and frequency drives, cranes, industrial automation, motor control, dynamic braking, renewable energies (such as wind and solar) and both loading and unloading, these boxed resistors consist of a helical tubular resistor. That is, it is a ceramic tube with a high degree of thermal dissipation and mechanical strength inside a galvanized sheet metal box IP20 and properly perforated for proper ventilation.
This type of boxed resistors is manufactured according to the characteristics requested by the customer, customizing the boxed resistor with a cemented coiled tubular resistor or helical coiled tubular resistor; a high degree of thermal dissipation and a “thermal protector”; an ohmic value according to specification and a Gearless mode or silent capability.
Boxed resistors achieve a long service life due to the quality of their materials and the precision with which they are manufactured. For this reason, they have a maximum temperature of the hottest point on the surface of the resistor at rated power of 375°C and a working voltage of approximately 1 000 v.a.c.
