Toroidal transformers

Torivac has more than thirty years of experience in the manufacture of all kinds of toroidal transformers. Toroidal transformers represent, like no other type, the ideal design of how a transformer should be. In fact, Faraday designed and wound the first transformer on a toroidal core. The toroidal cores manufactured by Torivac are built with grain oriented magnetic plate, with very low losses and high saturation induction and after being thermally treated, it allows reaching saturation values of up to 16,000 gauss.

In the toroidal transformer, the magnetic flux is uniformly concentrated on the core and, due to the absence of air gaps, vibrations are eliminated. Also, since the winding is distributed over the entire surface of the core, the noise caused by magnetostriction is practically eliminated and heat dissipation is favored. These details substantially improve the characteristics and performance of toroidal transformers compared to conventional transformers.
The stability and reliability of the power supply in Europe depends to a large extent on the quality of its industrial components, one of the most fundamental being conventional transformers. These devices are responsible for adapting electrical voltage levels for safe and efficient use in both domestic and industrial applications. In sectors such as automation, electronics and heavy machinery, choosing the right transformer is not a trivial matter.

Especially in markets such as Spain, where technical precision and European regulations define the standards, conventional transformers must pass rigorous tests to ensure long-lasting and safe performance. Despite the advance of new technologies, these models remain indispensable for their robustness, ease of maintenance and operational reliability. Its role as an intermediate and regulatory link in energy distribution continues to be irreplaceable.
